“The Special” is a sequel to a political novel I wrote about the fictional city of Springrock, located somewhere in the Shenandoah Valley. I scheduled it to appear on this blog in five parts beginning Monday. Somewhere I misclicked or entered a typo, and part five went out immediately. The political novel is called “Midnight’s Broken Toll.” If you read “The Special” first, you’ll be spoiled for the ending of “Midnight’s Broken Toll.” If you read part five first, you won’t have any reason to read the rest, and I’ll be smarter next time.
